Hi, I read your post. I live in Leisure Village and I'm also a real estate salesperson. I'd be glad to show you the village. It is lovely with very low taxes because no children that attend public schools can live here so the town agreed to very low taxes. It is a wonderful place to live with many activities if that's what you want. Call me 631-949-8236 Michael Steinhoff Coldwell banker

Hello,

Would it be a wise investment to purchase a unit in Leisure Village? Do the units appreciate at all if they're maintained?

I'm looking at current listings and both the interior/exteriors are extremely dated.

TIA

My grandparents live here. A lot of them are dated because its a 55 and over community. A lot of them belong to snow birds. why update the interior if 6 to 9 months of the year it will be empty.

Keep in mind these units are also electric heat. so if your not a snowbird you could have extremely high electric bills. They also hate it because they arent very good with snow removal. All the snow gets pushed to the ends of the street and it takes days for them to dig out those units.

Thank you, I'm researching for an aging parent, they're with me here in NC, but miss LI, so they would split their time between LI and NC. I'm a bit hesitant to invest there but if maintained, could be a place for me when I hit my 60's-70's+
