I usually go to Carpet Depot, (Or any carpet store for that matter). I buy remnants and have them cut to size and bound on the edges. This way you can get a nice plush pile carpet and you can get any color you want. Cost averages $150-$300 for roughly an 8 x 11 size depending on the grade of carpet.

The tent rug sale which held at broadway mall Hicksville is now moved at inline store at same location, right before macy*s entrance. they have huge selection of area rugs with unbeatable prices. I will recommend them.

There's a new place called Ocean State Job Lot in North Babylon on Deer Park Ave. They have very large rugs for $40.

There is a place on Jerhico tpke in Mineola that is a huge area rug seller on Amazon. you can also pick up in person and return in person. I recall prices are really good as kinda a wholesale only business that accepts walk in. Big warehouse full of the stuff
