Better than racing around on a kid's kart with a lawnmower engine

Just had this discussion the other night, we're slowing killing ourselves with the food supply... No other country will take our food because lobbyists won't allow packaging to show the use of GMOs - if you don't know what a GMO is, they're doing their job very well. The evil corporation that is Monsanto should be dismantled because they're doing this at the seed level... it's really a sad state of our food.

Yeah, what's up with that?!

They did a story on the news the other night about how they've changed the shape of cans so that they can fill it up with less stuff (volume) but keep the weight the same.

The problem is that the chickens, cows, pigs that we buy today are 2 times the size of a animal that is raised with no growth hormones.

We are what we eat.

I know I am Dr. Evil but my bagels are fine. No change in years at numerous places. Maybe you bought one of those mini-bagels by mistake. My kid likes those. Just felt the need to contribute to this earth-shattering thread.

Great observation!
Our food supply is completely infested with GMO whether you want it or not, and it's not just Monsanto.
I recommend (if you haven't already seen) two documentaries:
1) David versus Monsanto
2) King Corn

The stats say 50% of all corn grown in the US is GMO. There is no way to prevent cross contamination of GMO and non GMO crops - wild maize (corn) species in Mexico have been confirmed as contaminated with GMO DNA that originated in the US. So what's the real percentage of GMO corn in the US?

What's the single biggest ingredient in the American diet? Corn..corn syrup, corn starch, etc...and all of it underwritten by Uncle Sam to control the market pricing.

OK that's enough off topic for me.

Bagel Boss by me I find their bagels are still the same size, I usually get the smaller bagel(mini) but if I am in the mood for extra calories I will get the regular sized bagel which I think is bigger than the ones Stuff A bagel has in East Islip.
