I just want to give KIDOS to the town of Malverne for its effort to help home owners to up grade their homes to code compliance with having a program to do the same. Its a shame other Towns do not offer this
but make it a miserable experience getting a CO when it comes time to sell their homes.I saw this on their FIOS town TV Channel, perhaps other towns including Huntington could learn from them instead of making theirs a political format.
I am confused. Not to get all Walter G. but Malverne is not a town. It is in Town of Hempstead which is the LAST govt on earth to be considered helpful to homeowners. They are notorious world class ballbusters at getting permits and COs. What exactly is Malverne doing that is so "helpful?" I'm curious to know.

I think Malverne is an incorporated village so they have their own rules.

It's a village, so that's where the permits come from and inspections....Garden City same way.
