Some photos from my yard (Stony Brook) this morning @9am.
One shows the ruler at 31" at the front door and is definitely not the deepest point.
It's the most snow I have seen around for the last 10-15 years.

Looks very pretty, like some mountain ski resort - it's a big yard with lots of trees. I have not quite stepped outside yet.

Street has not been plowed at all, so I am still contemplating when to get out and tackle the driveway... in the old-fashioned way, with a shovel...

I am guessing at least 24 inches in Islip, Haven't been out in it yet and I am not looking forward to clearing it out. I live on a corner and my drive way is very long and wide.

Some points from Gov. Cuomo's storm briefing:

150 people were stranded in vehicles during the storm in Suffolk County. Suffolk County will receive help from all over NY State as it was the hardest hit area.

NY State fared better than CT. and MA. NY will be sending resources to help out in those states.

It is suggested that people don't leave their homes if they don't have to.

Lubby ~ It's a great time to stay home and cook up something good to eat! I'm still wanting some of that eggdrop soup! I don't care if it's yellow or not, lol! Be safe!

About 2 feet in the Greenlawn/Huntington area. Possibly a little more. Weather channel says 28 inches. Sounds about right.

So hard to get an exact measurement with all the drifts. I would guess about 24" in my hood.

This is where we are (right on the Hunt/Centerport/Greenlawn border) and I'd agree it's about 2 feet, especially with the snow drifts.

Yesterday afternoon:

(we had just returned from Sayville where they had all rain. It was crazy. As soon as you crossed Northern State on the Sagtikos, it was snow and cars were already in fender benders and getting stuck.)

Yesterday evening, my husband trying to get a head start...which really didn't do much. LOL He's been plowing the neighbors out all morning:

Angus...who's a big dog (field lab) looking a bit lost:

One Excursion pulling out the other Excursion (I think my husband just wanted to play ):

(You can just barely make out the snow covered Prius to the left.)

Making a path/area for the dog in the backyard:

According to Gov. Cuomo's latest briefing the epicenter of the storm was Long Island. There were 200 people stranded on the LIE.
