Folks, thanks so much for the info. We're about to put the place on the market now, given we're heading into peak season, so this information gives me a start on what to expect for moving expense. Unfortunately, the market in my area is very stagnant, so I'm going to take my time getting moving estimates. Hopefully, timing will work out in time for the summer move.
I'm thinking of renting a Ryder truck and taking some stuff, esp. the stuff needed prior to the arrival of the movers, like matresses and tools.
Some of you who have read my older posts will probably know I won't lose sleep over leaving LI. What's happening here is a real shame because it didn't have get this bad. On top of that, my business is growing in other US regions, all but dried up here in NY Metro. But I digress
