I need some masonry repair work done... basically repointing a brick stoop and steps, and repairing a crack between a walkway and the house. Any recommendations on people you've worked with in the past, and thoughts on the cost of it?

Jaime Aguirre Construction (516) 944-6531. His cell is (516) 322-5280. He recently poured the concrete slab for my generator. He's from Port Washington which is close to you. I found him while he was repairing the rain gutter on the street by my house - he was doing the work for the town I live in. Nice guy, did what he said he would do, and gave me a good price. Oh, and he showed up on time! All the guys working for him were also very nice and respectful. He showed me pictures of some large projects he did up in Sands Point on those monster mansions. I told my wife I wish every person I had work on our house was as easy to deal with as he was. As soon as he finished my generator slab I had him finish a never-ending backyard french drain project I started last summer. The second job was also well done work for a fair price.
