Has anyone ever been?? I would like to take my mom there. Also any good places on LI to apple pick instead of Lewins Farms? I have been there already.

The last couple of years we have gone to Davis Peach Farm in Wading River. They are pet (dog) friendly, but the apples are probably gone by now. We try to go in early September.

The Apple Festival at the Islip Grange is usually a very nice fair. Lots of vendors for various craft items along with food vendors and some entertainment. My wife has been a vendor in the past (Christmas ornaments) but she hasn't done this show for the past 3 years. She did attend for about 10 years prior. It has nothing to do with the show quality it's that she prefer's to do fewer show's now.

Just as an FYI last week was the West Islip Fair which is held at the fairgrounds adjacent to the West Islip Library. That is also a very nice one to attend in the area, I know from some of your previous posts that you're in the Islip area.... Lot's of craft vendors, live music, lots of local displays and good food.
