My MIL paid about $9,000 and she used universal in Massapequa. She went from oil heat/propane for stove to all gas. She also has 2 zones. They removed the old rank and drained it, new chimney liner, gas conversion kit for stove and hot water heater. luckily the house next door did a gas conversion 6 years ago so they did not have to run much gas line for her. I have a New Yorker boiler, I wanted something made in the USA not any made in China garbage. I do need a new hot water heater but we want to get a tankless one. Maybe by the end of this year. My current HWH is about 20 years old.

Is that co-pay what natl grid is charging you to run the line to your house?
Good god, I paid $3500 to convert 14 years ago, that included the boiler, labor and removal of the old clunker furnace. Prices are crazy all 'round. AND I got a $500 rebate when all was said and done.
Seems like a great price. I paid around $5000 after rebate for the conversion 2.5 years ago and I brought my own indirect. Can you DM the vendor to me as my inlaws might be looking to convert?
If you're using one of the 'name' plumbing outfits like Ray or Ben my personal experience is that you can do better by sticking with one of your local outfirs. Ray and Ben tend to be priced significantly higher than all the rest.
I would expect it to be more around 5200 to 6200.
FWIW Burnham is a good brand and an indirect fired HWH helps the longevity of the overall system.
Just started my conversion. RVC, $8000 with $850 rebate ($7150 effective). Have line close to house, 140 btu, 85%, 50 gallon hwh. 12-14 weeks.
