We just noticed the trees in our backyard are turning brown, anyone know what the reasons could be?

Thanks for your help!

I had a dwarf spruce on either size of my front door in my house on LI and one started to brown in the middle, the other was fine. Hicks told me either spider mites or splashing water that keeps it wet and a fungus takes over. Mine had no evidence of spider mites and the other tree was fine. It had to be removed.

When we bought our trees the nursery recommended we spray them with a spider mite treatment around mother's day. the treatment is a bottle that attaches to your water hose and spray's oil on the plant.

Looks like spider mites, did the paper test.

Now what's the best way to get rid of them?

Spray with appropriate pesticide.
Trim any dead growth.
