Utopia bagels in Queens on Utopia pkwy is my pick for bagels! Cannot resist those! And yes I have brought bagels on before and never had an issue.

I find they're just "meh". I wouldn't go out of my way for them. Heck, I live a few blocks from there and don't go out of my way lol...Queens...OP should bagels from Queens.

This one is easy. Buy your bagels at Bagel Boss @ 432 S Oyster Bay Rd. It's right off the NSP and their bagels are consistently very good.

Or, you can see if there's a Brueggers Bagel near where your family lives in Florida, buy them there and lie about their origins. I recently ran the old "swap a bagel" scam with some bagel-snob friends of mine and served them Brueggers bagels but claimed they were imported from New York and they went gaga over them.
