Jones & Robert Moses vehicle use fee

This is an old thread from 2014. Jones Beach has demolished the toll booths since then and uses automated toll booths at the parking fields. I haven’t been to Jones Beach since they did that. Can you still pay cash or do you have to use a credit card? Is it like a muni meter where you get a receipt to put in your window?

Many Long Islanders have never heard of the "Golden Pass" program for NYS Parks.

If you're 62 or over, you can park in nearly every NYS Park parking field for free.

There is no application to fill out.
Just show your NYS driver's license at the booth and you're in.

The only two catches? It's only valid M-F and no holidays.

Actually it is still 4:00pm. Just verified today at the toll booth.

For all that money they are collecting, the Parks/Rec needs to put in lockers for us to use for free. They already charge you to go inside the poolhouse, and use the lockers there. What a rip off. I surprised they dont charge for restrooms too.

At RM you pay until 4pm weekdays and 6pm weekends and holidays. Sometime in mid/end of Nov. its free.
