Here's a nice shot of Thomas Prendergast (did you know he was a Cuomo appointee?) and Andrew Cuomo encouraging Anthony Simon to "Shaddup Already!!!" and accept the 17% raise over 6.5 years instead of 6 years!

Ah, the skillful negotiation and teamwork brings tears to my eyes!

is it me or LIRR is way worse since the agreement? I haven't been on the LIRR for 2 months & I notice more delays than ever.

Yeah...there seems to be more than the usual assortment of breakdowns and delays.

Its just a matter of when $15 peak fares and $15 tolls are on the horizon. Then I predict $20 fares when the contract is up for renegotiation in 2016

What are you talking about its already over $16 for a peak fare to Zone 10 (ronkonkoma, pt. jeff, patchogue)

obviously I was referring to zone 4 or 7 since most LIRR riders are from Nassau.

In the winter, LIRR blames the abnormally cold weather impacting the service. So what is the summer excuse? The Hamptonites are overloading their capacity?

Cuomo said they couldn't raise fares because of the new union contract, but the MTA found another way to raise fares via an "unforeseen budget shortfall" in another area of the budget or some other such nonsense. The MTA always wins!

Thats why some of the highest ridership stations (not branches) are Ronkonkoma, babylon and huntington... all zone 9 and 10s.
