Every day when I drive past there, I keep seeing how quickly it is becoming an even bigger traffic disaster like Old Country Road near the Roosevelt Mall.

347 really has gotten horrible over the last 10 or so years. All the way from the 25 merge in St. James, through the 112 crossing in Port Jeff Station is basically a parking lot every afternoon with all the stores that have sprung up on that stretch.

I avoid that area during holidays and after 3:30 until 7. It is getting ridiculous. All big box stores, sucking profits out of state, and just plan ugly.

Going slightly off topic, but has anyone seen those walls going up on 347 east of 111? It looks like the LIE shrunk down. Terribly out of place.

Cutting down natural vegetation and replacing it with precast concrete panels isn't progress?
