boiling will kill the bacteria and other living organisms however, boiling will not get help getting rid of the heavy metals or chemicals (chlorine, iron, ect..) found in tap water

We just don't have an under-sink reverse osmosis system and hope that boiling the water can be just as good when drinking the boiled filtered water.
