She said that she used to live in Port Washington, which is why she was asking about the schools in PW. She also siad that her children had attended schools on Long Island when they were younger. She also said that her parents and sister live on Long Island. They could be guarantors. I had asked her what does $2000+ mean? 2000 would be low for a family of one or two parents and 2 children. But she said "plus" and she hasn't told us what that "plus" is. She could find something for 2500.
Thanks a lot,
I meant I would start looking at 2000 but could go up to 2600-3000. I am aware of illegal housing in certain areas, have been renting for a long time. Due to my profession we used to move a lot and ended up working overseas. Rent between Carle Place/East Williston/Mineola/New Hyde Park or Port not that much different if we are talking about decent/clean/well kept apartment so I think I would stick around North Shore area.
Being a tenant I've delt with some nasty landlords who held back my deposits, never answered my emails regarding problems with leaky faucets or clogged pipes. I think there should be a way to score them as well.
