Job interview in Park Slope - no idea the best way to commute from Long Island?
The job seems decent but not worthy of 4 hours driving time - which I'm just guestestimating based on my last traffic experience going to Queens in rush hour.
Anybody know for sure -
or how about LIRR to Atlantic Avenue then some sort of subway or bus to Park Slope?
I know what hopstop says but ... looking for the real deal - don't want to be driving through heavy hijacking- gunplay territory either.

I used to walk to Park Slope from the LIRR Atlantic Avenue terminal, long before it was so updated (wow. what a difference.....) . Every single day in all kinds of weather . We all did. It depends where in The Slope you are, but the Seventh Avenue bus stops right outside the terminal across the street if you need it .

Ok so the LIRR to Atlantic and then the subway - thanks everyone. I thought maybe driving would be faster and easier and I didn't really even know if I could get a subway into Park Slope - I think its Sixth Street near the Methodist hospital actually.

Oh, and the Belt Parkway is just half the battle. Once you get into Brooklyn, there's all the local traffic. I did the commute once a week into Prospect Heights, and I nearly went crazy, so I switched to the LIRR.
If you're coming from southwestern Nassau County, you could possibly drive to the A train (80th Street stop, I believe) and park there-- I did that for a while, too.
My wife did the reverse of this commute, Park Slope to Huntington. We moved a month after she took the job because the traffic was so horrible.
