I live in the town of Huntington, NY. I am new to this forum & don't know how n where to start. Its our cesspool problem. Got it pulled up twice in last three months. We seriously need to take care of the issue. Got it pumped from A1 Sewer & Drain. That guy was very nice & was answering all our questions with lot of patience. It has been told to us by the A1 guy that we have to get our cesspool replaced with the new one. We are convinced, but not sure whether we are going in the right direction. Because we have least knowledge about this particular thing. We have too many questions in our mind. I am totally confused & lost right now. With so many doubts in our mind & with no proper knowledge of the entire issue, we kind of scared to trust anybody blindly. Also there is lot of money involved. How do we go about it?
Have it pumped out and have sulfuric acid put in so the bottom gets turned up. Then start treating it with "Zep# a Bacteria treatment sold at Home Depot each month.Just pumping it out does not open it up to get good drainage.

Helpful unless it's the original cinder block cesspool and the ground around it is totally saturated. In that case the only real solution is to put in a new one.
Not sure what you're really asking for.... His name is John. He owns Local Cesspool Service... His phone number is 757-1144... He could probably give you a second opinion on your cesspool problem.
His likes are shellfish, rainbows, long walks on the beach and pumping various homeowners poop.
His dislikes are sugary snacks, anything Chevrolet, and pumping various homeowners poop.
Scudder has an excellent reputation in your area (you may have seen their trucks around).

Thanks a lot for your reply. I will surely check with them.
