Hello. We have a legal apt.
My tenants have 2 cars and a 3rd they said they are selling. Problem is they said they were selling it 4 months ago and it's sitting in the driveway and I'm getting tired of it sitting there. They do have their own driveway but sick of seeing it. Do you think it's unreasonable to not want it there? Thanks

If it has no license plate it should not be out in the driveway. It's not unreasonable to ask them to remove it.

If the vehicle is legally registered, they are not in violation of a vehicle limit imposed in the lease and it does not infringe on your space deal with it. In the future you can include a vehicle limit in the lease.

Yup, you should've put it in the lease.

If it has no plates, call the cops and have them ticket it LOL.

Thanks!!! It's not registered and there are no plates. It's a long driveway(runs long side of house) and there are 2 cars behind it so it not out in open but just having the driveway clogged with cars is annoying ...but it's there driveway to use.

It's in a driveway. Can't be ticketed.

It is not unreasonable to ask you tenant to move the third car. it is excessive. Tell them what you told us, that you are tired of looking at the car and to make arrangements to move the car elsewhere. Your property is not to be used as a car lot. If they don't like it, do not renew their lease. Speak up!

So wait a minute, a car can't be in your driveway without plates?
