Soo...

years ago in Ronkonkoma the garbage men loved a case of beer for xmas..

Now I live in Massapequa- what does everyone tip? beer or cash?

Also depending on the day I have a few different guys collecting- if you tip one do they spread the word? Or do I have to tip them all?

Mailman- cash for him, but how much?

Why would you tip someone who gets paid a salary to do their job?

I give my garbage men $20 each. They never have an issue with how much stuff I put out there.

Case of beer and Dunkin Donuts gift cards. Amazing what they would take as far as garbage goes. Technically it's illegal to give your mail carrier cash but I doubt they'd complain.

Nothing. If I ever have something big or questionable that needs to go out, I'll meet them out their that morning and give them a $10. As for my mail carrier, it's very rarely the same person, so they get nothing. If it was the same person day in and day out, I'd know them better and probably feel obliged to get them a little something. Tips are for bartenders, servers, delivery folks, cab drivers and strippers.

I give $100. I throw out a lot of crap, furniture, fencing, scrap wood and they take it all, heck I could throw out a dead body and they would take it.
