Obviously. I am talking long term. They can yank the teeth here pretty inexpensively. Over the long haul though, you don't want to leave large gaps in your teeth. The teeth will shift, bone loss will occur in the jaw, and the stress that are placed on any remaining teeth will ultimately lead to further tooth loss. The problem though is that here in the states implants are extremely expensive. When OP gets back on his feet and ultimately gets a job, dental tourism might be something that he may want to look into.

If she is severe pain, just go to the emergency room. Tooth infections can spread into the blood stream and cause coronary valve damage or even worse. This is something you really don't want to play around with. Emergency rooms usually don't perform anything dental related, but if the situation is that dire sometimes they have emergency dentist on staff that can perform an emergency extraction. At the very least, get her on an antibiotic. Wishing you the best.

Unrealistic.

Have you tried the dental clinic at St Charles hospital or at Stony Brook hospital?
There are also suffolk county health centers that provide some free (based on income) dental services, there's one in Coram on Middle country road.
Good luck!

Find a minimum wage P/T job for 2 months. Then you qualify to apply for the Medicaid Manage Care Providers. You and your wife will then have free health and dental.

The SBU student clinic is a great idea. But if the timing isn't right, its a long wait. You have to signup for a screening date. Then after that, wait months to be assigned to a student.

Stony Brook dental school does it for a significantly lower price. My mother went there when we lived near SBU.
