I am looking at a few houses on Warner Street in Roslyn Heights and I came across a poster here who said some areas of Roslyn Heights can be "iffy" and that Warner St in particular may fall into that category. Does anyone live in the area and can tell me about it? I have middle schoolers.

Im not sure as to where this street is but there is a less desirable section in Roslyn (by the Heights elementary school) but i wouldnt call it unsafe. The great thing about Roslyn is that the school system is great and the overall town is wonderful. There obviously is a mix of wealth as all kids attend the same high school.

Having lived the next town over I can say the block of Warner AVENUE is far from the best one in RH. It is not what I would call one of the blocks I would be afraid of. That said, I would not live on Warner due to the traffic first. I had several friend who lived in the Apts on Edwards and Warner so I am pretty aware of the traffic and with kids it would not be my first choice.

There are not bad areas in Roslyn Heights, there are areas with a lot of traffic, you won't find areas with crime like Hempstead, Elmont, Freeport, Valley Stream etc in Roslyn Heights. Traffic would be a concern if you have middle school age kids.
