This is my first post in this forum, and I couldn't find a similar questions asked here before.
My wife and I are on the market for our first house in the town of Brookhaven (Port Jefferson Station area), and we suspect that the house we are interested in lacks a number of C/Os. Would it be possible for us to contact Brookhaven Building Department and get the copy of survey and all applicable C/Os for this house before we go into contract? Will they give us the survey for this property, or the owner needs to authorize it?
