I'm working on building my home from a property I'm in contract for in Babylon Village.

I've done a title search and it says it's single and separate.

The Village is saying they don't recognize it to be single and separate.

Anyone come across this before or have additional resources to further support their findings?

You will need a real estate attorney for this. It might be an expensive proposition depending upon the historical reasons in the title search. It has to do with planning and zoning, lot size and variances. The good news is that the village does not support the title search. How did the previous owners own the property?
