I'm a Brookynite though. We don't need that ugly manicured stuff. Lol at good schools. They got you suckered into that suburban propaganda. This ain't 1990. I just got back from my kayaking trip to Fire Island. It's a beautiful country setting out here.
East End of Fire Island ------------ most beautiful ocean beaches in NY state ---- full of marine life esp. this time of year.
Native brook trout swimming in the Carmans ---- lots of nature out there.
How did diversity get into this? What makes you think that I "run away" from it? I wanted my family in a safe neighborhood with good schools. There is no nearby nightlife or a downtown. The neighborhood is quiet and boring but we like it that way.
So that is fine for you. Me on the other hand rather raise my family around diversity. The whole block doesn't need to use the same landscaper. And I keep my family both safe and I always stress education. But I always make sure they see the real world. Sheltered they are not.
I didnt really mean to imply that I saw this as a positive for NYC commuting, but I guess anything is doable
I just liked that the LIRR was that close to the house period.
It is nice to be able to take the LIRR to the Hamptons.
