I have a school age child and one on the way. Just moved here and looking for a new pediatrician that is understanding and not push with medicine (understands if we want to spread vaccines and doesn't push anti-biotics for everything under the sun). Preferably someone within the Seaford/Mass/Wantagh/Bellmore/Merrick area but anywhere in Nassau will do - even going into southeast Suffolk.
We had an amazing doctor but after our move the drive is just too long so we need to find someone closer.
Don't have kids but do know people say wonderful things in surrounding community of Bellmore about Dr. Oppenheimer & Marchetelli. We know lots of people happy with them for years. Bellmore Pediatrics. Amazing they all say. Was told Oppenheimer is very old school so to speak. All 3 of our godchildren saw him from 1993 until now. They have all outgrown pediatrics. But they loved the practice. Never had any problems. They have been there for years. Over on Newbridge Rd. in Bellmore. Number is 781-9898.
Moms have great things to say about Pamela Banks on Hewlett Ave. in Merrick too. Just north of Merrick Rd. As well as a Dr. Jassey in Bellmore. Right up the road from Oppenheimer's office pretty much.
Some people have mentioned Seaford Pediatrics on Jackson Ave in Seaford. She is a DO not an MD so she might be more open minded. We always personally preferred DO's over MD's from experience.
But it all honestly probably will depend on who accepts your insurance. Good luck.
Mentioned this office. Agree! While we do not have pediatric ages kids we know many people that have used this office going back to 1995. And we were there all the time though with our goddaughters. And the many we know that use them now all love the office. Staff & all the doctors there now. Oppenheimer is known as very "old school". But the kids & parents love them all. Dr. Jassey is one of the founders & a great guy all around. Very sweet.
the best doc we have had after 3 kids.
he is not money centered, will tell you over the phone not to come in for stuff you dont need to come in.
