I purchased soft white bulb from Lowes, but they emit Yellow light. How to purchase bulb with white lights? What do I need to check?

Soft white is a yellowish hue, daylight bulbs are a white hue. Daylight is what you are looking for, they are typically in blue packaging

you need to paint each bulb with white paint.

There are many shades of "white" light. You need to look at a color temperature table and determine what shade of "white" you want. Most bulbs today indicate the color temperature on the packaging.

The higher the temperature, the more "blue" the light. The lower the temperature, the more "red" (yellow/orange) the light. You are probably wanting something more blue (higher temperature).

Check the color temperature (which is different from temperature) and it should be in "lighting facts" label:

I am assuming you mean "more yellow" than say a yellow bug light.

2300K-2600K color temperature closely mimics the older style incandescent bulbs. I don't have a LED in my house over 3000K except the garage overhead bulb and prefer the warm glow over stark white.
