Ah, Newsday is fine.....every major newspaper has it's flaws, it's slants and it's "agenda", you just have to read between the lines with all of them. Newsday does drive me nuts sometimes, especially Wallace Matthews who is the worst sports writer I have ever read in my life. I'll buy it solely for the articles they'll occasionally have on local history, although even those can be very skewed sometimes!
We get newsday on the weekends because I enjoy the store ciculars & DH's makes a game out of highlighting the errors in the paper. WE read Dan's Paper & the north shore sun as well. I get most of my news fix from NPR.
I didn't think to add magazines:
House (which is a mag for architecture, design and landscape)
@ Home
And as GCGuy mentioned, Elements & Distinction.
