DiretcvNow (streaming service NOT satellite) has MSG, SNY, and YES.
That sort of supports the point (peconic's original point). $80 for internet + $40 for Direct TV now + $15 for HBO and basically right back at cable/fios package rates. Plus the cable deal includes MSG GO.
TV in general sucks. Nothing but pure garbage channel after channel after channel.
Maybe a half dozen, no not even, maybe 3 channels worth watching.
The rest is trash and propaganda.
So true. And you get to watch garbage commercials as well.

except you're only getting the fios at $150 on a promotional basis. Once you're promotion ends... that preferred service will run you well over $200.

Ive had fios for 8 years and I pay no where near 200. Every time my contract is up im able to renegotiate a good deal with them to resign. Never had an issue.

I never let promos run out with Cable or Verizon. As soon as they do I'm on the phone with retention working up a new deal. It's a pain, but that's the dumb business model of these disloyal companies.
When was the last time you guys tried? I talked with retention back in May and they were a no-go. Prior to that I was able to get a decent deal again for 4 terms (8 years). This time they only suggested to drop my packages to a lower tier. I was all ready to go to Altice and even quoted their lower price but they went ahead and went to their site and compared packages with me. Ultimately I had to take the hit because FIOS is better for about the same competitor price @ $150 (raised from $123) for 2 boxes and 75/75.
It isn't anywhere near $200 even after this many years.

I was really referring to the package that they push the most... Gigabit + Preferred TV. Many people will renegotiate lesser/bare bones packages with no premium channels just to keep the price low.
Fios came and all went well. Of course now I can’t find any channels but I have to get used to it. Somehow, I channel up and I go from 14 to 520 in one increment. Other than that, all good. I had to use their router. I removed mine since I am hardwired from the basement to main floor router so house signal is optimal.so, 3 boxes, gigabit and phone for about $165. Still saving $60 and, actually more if I added a third box using cablevision. I guess I’ll have to go through this again in two years. I’ll probably go with internet only at that time. Thanks for all comments.
The channel thing really messed with my mind when I had fios.
Then when we switched back to cable years later it was the same mind**** all over again.
