From a brochure from Legislator Steve Rhoads:

Nassau County DPW is repaving Merrick Road from the Meadowbrook Parkway to Newbridge Road in Bellmore. This project is being done in sections and is dependent on proper weather conditions. The section west of Babylon Turnpike is being completed first, and the next phase will begin in Spring 2020. DPW plans to keep one lane in each direction open during the duration of the project, but please be prepared for some traffic delays.

Totally unacceptable.
This should be done in the dead of winter in the middle of the night. And only on weekends.
