None other than Toronto are Original Six though. Shows how lame and underinvested a team is if they couldn’t win a cup in the expansion era for over 50 years. NYR is the second worst of the 6 as I think they last won in ‘93/‘94.

Oh I agree. And the leafs are a huge legendary name too. I Always kind of considered them the Yankees of hockey minus the winning of course lol. That team just can’t get a break

No skin off my arse. I love the mausoleum. Where else can a Ranger fan get such good, cheap seats. As long as you're willing to hold it in or pee in a sink (ok, I'm exaggerating but I did see that at a Coliseum Dead show back in the day...lol). I hope the faithful can afford whatever Belmont throws at them and I hope the attendance is better than Barclays...wait, I hope the attendance is better than Uniondale!

...despite a lot of good moves, I still think letting Lehner go was dumb.

He shut himself down. Lot of turnovers . He had one good drive to the net in the second. Hey anyone can have a bad day.

Watching Chara out there, I wish we kept him . What a rock defensively

Oh come now monster! I know you were secretly rooting for a Quebec move so the rags would be the only game in town! Admit it!

When I had Islanders season tickets in 2000-2001 he was amazing to watch given his size. Only thing more incredible is he's still active.

And the Isles traded him for Yashin

Ugh. yashin.

I was glad I got to see.him play yesterday. I bet he could play another 5 years. He's a great skater and penalty killer. He stays on the full PK every time, even at his age.

The Rangers actually went to a cup final and had many successful seasons with Lundqvist in net. Rangers fans expected an actual cup but you cannot call the team a failure at all since Henrik's arrival. The new goalie may be even better.

Regardless they still couldn't close the deal.
