For folks in Suffolk County here are some resources for statistics and information.

First is the New York State DOH page that breaks it down by county:

https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/co...positive-cases

The Suffolk County page with daily updates and breakdown by township:

https://suffolkcountyny.gov/Departme...el-Coronavirus

The county page also has a link to a map that breaks down the numbers by hamlet:

https://gis.suffolkcountyny.gov/port...9efc35bd4f1975

(Click the “Community” tab below the map for hamlet numbers)

All of these pages have been updating daily, usually in the afternoon.

Today is one month in from the first confirmed case in Suffolk, a person out in Greenport.

The dashboard this morning shows 16,071.

Hopefully we are near the peak and turning down soon.

As of 1pm, 16,901

What I find meaningful with Suffolk's reporting, is the reference as to how many per thousand residents.

For instance, in Islip, with the highest number of cases, 4,186, shows the equivalent of 12.6/1,000
versus Brookhaven, with 2,753 cases and a ratio of 5.66/1,000.
Southold on the other hand has "only" 235 cases, but that's 10.59/1,000.

Remove Brentwood, CI and the 2 BayShores and you remove 65% of Islip's cases.....

Suffolk is at 37,991 this morning:

Depending on which dashboard you look at, it looks like Suffolk has more cases than Nassau now.
