No change for my private sector company. Insurance isn't glamourous, but people will always have claims.

My neighbor drives a bus in Queens for the MTA. His hours have been cut a lot.

What a cushy scam to be part of.
No wonder Cuomo is begging for a 60billion federal bail out.

if everybody tried to drive into the city instead of taking the train it would be the worst traffic jam in history. It would look like a zombie movie hway scene with cars backed up all the way to Remsenburg Speonk . Employers will have to give more sick time and encourage staff to use it.

Employers dont have to do anything, if you cant make it, or live to far away in a post corona virus world, they will just get rid of you and hire someone who lives closer and who wont be late.

the idea that a company is going to bend over backwards because you live to far away NOW after corona virus, is a dream.

Could you imagine the NYC Subways? Packed like sardines & now social distancing?
How is that going to work?

I'm just waiting for the protests at the MTA and people with no masks getting in the faces of MTA with masks.

That’s good to hear. I’ve so far seen people getting a 20% pay cut until end of the year, or a bonus cut, or elimination of their 401K match (indefinitely), or unpaid vacation/furlough.

MTA union wanted to protest against the supermarkets and stores that didn’t classify them as first responders category who didn’t have to wait the long lines to get in
