Trying to get a gage on if what I'm paying is the norm. I have a 1 zone Central AC unit for roughly 1500 sq ft coverage set at 75 degrees. I live in Nassau County and my bill for this month is $392. We have been working from home so we are home every day. Is that considered high?

That’s high. I have a 2500 square foot home , pool , hot tub, central air at 72 during day 68 at night and 2 refrigerators. Highest I have been is 280 I believe.

$492 for 2 months compared to $401 for the same time period last year. I expected it to be well over $500.
Working from home and we had some very hot July days.

Prior 2 month the bill was $208 so its strictly AC usage. I like it cold(er).

Are you sure your bill is only for 1 month?

Looks like they are billing me monthly, last month's bill was $137. Maybe something's off? I understand this billing cycle was pretty hot so AC was running most of the time, but don't think it justifies a $392 bill.

you running anything else like a dehumidifier? I got my son one for his 3rd floor bedroom last year and my electric bill went up $50 that month. This year has not been so bad, even with an extremely hot July here in NC my bill was $280. Are you sure this is a monthly bill? Are you on a budget plan? They do make adjustments to those. Is your one zone for more than one floor?

If you are being billed monthly then you must be on the budget plan and there might be adjustments made based upon this months usage.

Thanks, I'll look into it. If I am on the budget plan, should I get off it?

No dehumidifers running. Thinking maybe my CAC needs a good cleaning to increase efficiency.

By me they only do actual meter readings every other month, the in between months are estimated amounts, this has caused my bill to fluctuate quite a bit sometimes.

Was last month an estimated reading? If they estimated low, then with an actual reading this month they caught up.
