when I was a kid, my cousins lived near a sorta underground house on Prairie Dr. in Deer Park. I have no idea if it's still there or not.

I remember that house, though I didn't see it on Google maps, but I could be looking in the wrong place.
If I remember right the house was partially underground for energy reasons.

There is a small development (6-7 homes) outside of Reading PA of underground homes. A buddy of mine owned one and as I recall it was really damp. He would Turn out the lights in the family room and have the kids Put their thumb on their nose and wiggle their fingers to show they couldn’t see. Then he would turn on the light and everyone would laugh.

The creator of the development was a bomb shelter kind of guy as I recall.
