Hi,

Looking for a reasonable and honest handyman to do a few things around the house (install kitchen exhaust fan directed to the exterior of the house, basement tiling, skylight blind installation, flood light installation etc.)

Can anyone recommend anyone they have had good experiences with?

Thanks

Might help if you posted where you are. A handyman in Floral Park isn't going to Mattituck.

I recently called a handyman who advertises in a Queens weekly newspaper. He says he does just about everything and no job is too small. I called him and left a message on his machine/voice mail. He never called me back.

Covid-19 has hurt a lot of contractors businesses and handy men as well. You would think when they get a call for a job they would jump on it. Now's not the time to be picky. If I were a handyman I would take any job that came along.

What? The amount of work out there right now is plentiful. You know people out of work? There must be a reason for that. Have you noticed the price of materials lately? That’s due to demand not from shortages of work.

Yes I do several of my clients have hardly any jobs, one is a plumber in NYC and the other a handyman in Suffolk. I don't pay attention to the price of materials as I am not in that line of work. I do insure alot of contractors and some have been working all through the pandemic and some have lost a lot of work.
