Asking for a friend. If you are in Great Neck and their silly little bored police dept. tries to you pull you over as you are headed back to the Queens border what do you think would happen if you kept driving? I've never seen them venture past their "line." They are getting real annoying lately, pulling people over for next to no good reason all in an effort to just generate revenue for their already very wealthy town.
I haven't seen the NYPD pull anyone over for traffic violations in months. Especially since covid and George Floyd. I'm surprised GN police are being so aggressive out there.
You're the guy who had a ticket there already, correct? GrubHub driver? or same ilk? How about you and your "friend" stop thinking the rules don't apply to you and follow the speed limit and other rules of the road, then you won't have problems with the big bad police? I had a run in with a GrubHub driver yesterday - went into the store (where they know me well) and asked if they knew they guy - owner said "he's a GrubHub driver and they're all a$$holes".
Change our minds. "Friend".
Actually, better yet - run from the police in a town you want to go back and do business in AS A DRIVER. Let us know how that goes for you.

Since you feel that you are above the "silly little bored police dept" why are you asking ? You already have your answer. They will pull you over and continue to generate income. Keep going and then let us all know how well you did above the law. BTW a piece of advice start interviewing a good lawyer now.

I live pretty close by and I haven't seen many cars pulled over at GN. Perhaps too many crazy Queens drivers over the borderline.
If any, I drive more carefully over the Queens side since the reduction of speed limit from 30 to 25 on Northern. Recently, I noticed more highway patrol on the Queens side of the highways.

How come every time I approach the Queens border I see more dangerous and reckless drivers who should be pulled over by cops?
Doesn’t matter if it is for revenue or not. They couldn’t collect fines if people didn’t break traffic laws. You wanna get back at those mean policemen? Obey traffic signs. That will get them angry.
Are you asking, "What would happen if I try to outrun the cops?"
If so, I suggest you try it and let us know how it works out.
As long as the violation was committed in their jurisdiction, an officer is free to continue into another jurisdiction to stop you.
