Christmas tip for recently started sitter (home, college, cheap)

We started with a college aged sitter for our kids (age 5 and up) in mid-November. She's making about $300/week ($15/hr). Most likely she'll be gone by January. What's a decent Christmas tip (she's doing an okay job)/do In need any: I am proposing a $10-$20 GC as a token, my wife wants to give $50. What say you?

Do you hope to have her back ever? Is she alone with your kids or this more a nanny situation where one or both of you are home all day? I wouldn't give a "token" cheap gift card. She's going to be there after Christmas after all. I would say $50 minimum.
