We got 18 inches in 3 hrs. People were stuck in their cars on 347, and Nichols road. Has nothing to do with public works.

Was this the Brookhaven debacle where the plows were non-existant?

I wish everyone would get trapped. It would keep the morons off the roads.
Blizzard of 1996 we were stuck for a bit. Living in an apartment and we were the only ones with a snow shovel. Everyone else was using their bathroom garbage can to shovel out their car LOL. That was a storm! Work was cancelled for two days - unheard of in those days.

OP there's a thread on the weather forum here. As good or better info than you'll get in the media. I always go there now when there's gonna be a storm! Wish we'd get it here - like Nuts said, stuck home anyway!

I have 2 snow blowers and a shovel plus a back up guy to dig me out if needed. funny thing is the snow blowers always start when there is no snow, the minute we get 6 inches or more it won't start.

Because people still watch “the news”.
