My wife said many of her friends got $1800. Ours came and it was something like $475. I didn’t see it and didn’t think we would get one. What has anyone else got?

there is a 5% reduction for income over 150k/couple or 75k individual.
More significant with the second check since the base was lowered to 1200/couple, 600 indivdual.
In my very humble opinion, the reduction should have been lowered to 2.5% for the second check.

Yeah combined & single, hubby & I are more than that ... but we’re not ‘rich’ ... according to the govt I guess we are :::shrug:::

The problem is the cap is the same no matter where you are in the country. It should be adjusted for areas of where the cost of living is higher

The federal gov only recognizes cost of living when paying themselves. Ex if you work for the irs and your position is 65k a year. If you live in Montana your salary is 65k if you live in the NYC metro you would get a 34% increase over the base “locality pay” due to the increased cost of living. When it comes to taxes, or welfare programs cost of living is ignored.

Got a check yesterday. Got the full payout plus 3 kids. Thankfully it wasn’t the debit card like last time.
