Look at GTM Payroll Services. They'll do your workers' comp too.

I also used GTM payroll for about 8 years and I recommend them. The founder wrote a book called How To Hire a Nanny. I got Worker’s Comp from NYSIF and you also need to get Unemployment Insurance if she works more than 35 hours per week.

You are absolutely correct in that you cannot pay domestic staff with a 1099. I commend you for doing the right thing for the person who will care for you child.

My sister did not take my advice when hiring a caregiver for my dad and that person eventually demanded some extra cash when she needed to buy a car or else she would “turn her in.” FYI fines for not having Worker’s Comp and UI accrue by the day and can get pretty costly.
