I know area in GC that borders hempstead on Willows or Meadow is not desirable. How about GC west that borders FS?

It's fine. FS is a very safe area which makes them good neighbors to the south.

I used to live in the western section and like the Estates, part of the appeal is being surrounded by safe areas.

Although Garden City folks look down on us unwashed masses from Franklin Square, the neighborhood is fine and poses no threat to you.

Be prepared though, many of us use the Nasssu Blvd LIRR station.

Haha, very true. Depending specifically where they're asking about, NHP may be a better/easier option. Or even Stewart Manor. When I worked in the city, I walked to SM.

I live in Eastern GC, a few blocks North of Hempstead. Here's my take:
- Meadow St: I would never buy a house there
- Willow St: better, but stay away from properties near Boylston St
- Pine St and other streets North: no issues
