For the past week, 3 different Amazon delivery man drops off my package and used my private walkway (next to my front door) that leads to my back yard as a short cut to my next door neighbors house to deliver their package.

From my understanding once they drop off the package they should return to sidewalk, road or where ever they came from. They have no further business on my property. can I file a police report for trespassing if this continue to happen?

My mail carrier cuts across my lawn to go to my neighbors house after delivering the mail. Can I shoot them?

it might be time to take the law into your own hands.

To be honest I wouldnt care if they walked the lawn. But using the pathway would create privacy concerns plus they can peak into the house as the walkway is right next to my kitchen window. Just asking if this consider tresspassing and if it can be file as report if this continue.

Already filed a complaint with Amazon.

The driver is doing this to save time and you think they want to stop and peak in your kitchen? What are you doing in there? And why can't you just talk to the driver about it? Afraid you'll sound like a jerk?

Wonder if Amazon can/will decline your services going forward or leave your packages at the curb

With the shortage of people willing to work these days, I would be handing him a water bottle or ice tea as he passed and be thrilled that he was working. P.S. they are too busy to be bothered to think about what you are doing inside.

Only police officers can file a police report. All you can do is report information to the police. What the police do with that information is their decision.

In any event, this is not a Trespass, since the delivery person did not enter or remain unlawfully. Social convention is part of the analysis, and in this era of e-commerce, what you have described would not be unlawful. However, if you post a sign indicting that this conduct is not permitted and/or contact Amazon in a manner which results in such being communicated to these drivers (harder to accomplish then it sounds) then it would be a trespass if it happens again. Keep in mind I am not advocating that you do this - such would be silly.

You can select a designated drop off point with Amazon. If the driver doesn't follow it, you can complain to Amazon.
