Nothing new, I guess. More left wing efforts to bust up "white" suburbs on Long Island. There are reports, from other sources, that there's been 3,000 minors flown into Westchester then driven to group homes on the island. Get ready to empty your pockets even more (taxes). Enjoy!

Let them stay in Westchester.
I mean, a lot of their residents are the ones letting them in here to begin with.
You want ‘em? You keep ‘em!

So does that mean that somebody is finally gonna get off their lazy butt and get some work done? I'm sick of all the excuses these days.

They ain't just in Westchester. Good ole welcoming Syosset is one of the drop off points on LI. All those bleeding hearts in Syosset should be more than okay with it! Plenty of room in the Syosset schools, for a few extra kids.

Newsday. 6 hours after a post article suozzi ran real quick to address his district. But he did state this has been going on normally. So why the rush to the press.

https://www.newsday.com/long-island/...set-1.50395025

But the congressman said the relocation efforts do create practical funding issues. Suozzi wrote to President Joe Biden and the secretaries of Education, HHS and Homeland Security Tuesday, noting that the relocation of unaccompanied minors into various Long Island communities must come with increased federal resources for school districts.

"My immediate concern is that our local education system is not adequately prepared to handle this influx of students," wrote Suozzi. "Our educators are humanitarians and welcome these children with open arms, but due to the lack of necessary financial resources to educate them, we cannot continue to ask the local communities to provide the funding."

Why can’t the education system handle this regular influx that he says it’s common.

Yep these flights have happened all over the country republic airport included. The last major unaccompanied “minor” surge during Obama’s tenure led to the resurgence of MS13 on the island and a wave of killings causing community outrage. Nothing new here unfortunately.

Most of the border jumpers on LI end up the same areas. So as long as you don’t live in Brentwood, wynadanch, central islip, Huntington or south Huntington school districts you will never see them. South H and Huntington they are only in certain areas. Of course there are other areas these seem to be the main ones. Syosset has been doing this forever at that church.

There's little chance they end up in Syosset schools or have any impact on the Syosset community.
It appears that the facility/shelter that handles them initially is in Syosset but that's not where they will stay.
They will be in Hempstead, Uniondale, Freeport, Westbury, etc and burden those poorer/higher crime areas where folks already crowd 20 of them into one home, etc.
