It took quite a few hours for the crews to right a box truck on NY 135, Exit 2 East. Southbound on NY 135, the driver attempted the eastbound exit to Sunrise Highway. This exit involves a curve on an upgrade. I claim the only cause could have been speeding, that is, entering the curve too fast. Anybody know another possible cause? He was already on the curve and the uphill when he flipped. He had already passed the yellow sand drums.

Apparently, the driver was not injured. His door was to the ground, so I guess he used the passenger-side door.
Yup he probably misjudged the curve of the ramp and overturned when his load shifted. Of course speed would play a part. I've been handling accident claims for a long time and speed is usually a factor.
This morning I checked the yellow advisory speed limit sign on that exit. It is 25 mph. I wonder whether box trucks are required to have speed recorders. It appears that a driver exceeding an advisory speed cannot be ticketed for that infraction unless he was over 55 mph!
