Bottom line, if you're a young white middle class family that can't afford to hide up on the North shore somewhere, time to get out of dodge and head to red pastures.

We use to say that about kids in Cleveland, Ohio back in the 80s who went to any high school on the east side of the city. Those were the white kids you did NOT mess with at all.

I think the American Dream is still alive and well on LI. Plenty of places for middle class people to go that's quiet and crime free.

Probably more like upper middle class and beyond. Especially now with the bloated housing market.
If you can score an affordable home, IF, then you still need to deal with the taxes and insurances.

True, even Hispanic birth rates have plummeted especially those making higher incomes.
