You really should have just let the mortgage company handle the payment if you cannot even figure this out on your own. Do you really think you wouldn’t get a penalty in NEW YORK?

I’m recently mortgage free. It was a little bit of a learning curve and some discipline paying my taxes on my own. Just not used to it. Not in a bad way.
Just used to having taxes/ins paid by bank on every mortgage I’ve taken out over the last 25/30 years.

Congrats. Even before our mortgage was paid off I paid the taxes myself because the bank kept screwing them up. TNH had days to pay throughout the town - in parks etc. I would add them to my calendar and pay in person. I liked it that way because the town could not say it was not paid as I got the top of my tax bill as a receipt when I paid.

Oh I can figure out things on my own. As I did with the help of those who posted positive feedback.
