I posted similar prices and analysis ironically days ago. Except I don’t agree with the windfall tax. Go head and do a windfall tax. Next year at the height of the home heating season they will destroy us and can ten times the price. They will literally shut down to offset their extreme tax just to laugh at us and guess what we will do. Either beg them or give them tax breaks. We depend on them unfortunately.

Tax them on these record profits. Oil for home heating is up 1.30 to 1.50 in 3 weeks. That’s a 1,000 dollars extra these year for families. Imagine what they can do when they manipulate a market. 10-15 dollars a gallon will devastate families.

Also if you want to end fossil fuels for the US might as well make all the money you can is what they are thinking.
