The OPEC+ quota cut was a paper cut. They were 3 million barrels a day below the quota of what they were actually exporting. Now they will just be 1 million barrels of oil a day below the new quota.

They are psychologically trying to influence the markets. When they say they want prices to fall it's also a lie; they are making a virtue out of necessity because prices are dropping at the moment.

Thing is they haven't cut production. They cut quotas. They weren't reaching the quotas before the cuts. See my post above about the quota cuts.
