I keep getting mail from Homeserve offering insurance on the water, sewer, and gas lines coming into the house. Has anyone had any experience with this? Is it worth it, have you had a claim, was it what they said it was? Thank you.

Wish I had it when my sewer line collapsed, not cheap.

We have that coverage through our homeowners insurance for 40.00 per year. It covers up to 10,000 per incident.

My 2 cents: avoid any service or product that is offered unsolicited.

Just like water lines, expensive but pretty remote.

Yep home insurance does not cover. You either have to pay an extra policy on top, or buy a specific policy like the op posted. Also 19k is crazy for that he must have had an odd situation…

That's why I pay $40 a year for service line coverage. Well worth the peace of mind. Was not offered by many so not too easy to find.
